Do you remember the assignment I told you my teacher assigned my class called ” Today In Class”. Well he changed it to “This Week In Class” becasue he thought it would be to much of a work load to have to post that every day on top of all of our other assignments and he wouldnt have a chance to read them either.

This week in class we talked about…

Changing our ” Today in class” assignment to ” this week in class”. Then the next day we talked about our Islam unit and how far along we were getting. Then we talked about how proud our teacher was of us because of how far along we were getting with the blogging. And then on Thursday we talked about a girl called Lindsay and her blog. Her blog has many different interesting things on it about Global Issues and Photography.

This week in class i wanted to say…

I got to say what I wanted to say or if I didn’t I cant think of anything.

This week in class I daydreamed about…

About how much homework I had to do that week end and about my mom killing me for my math and science grades.

1. Speaking Arabic means you are an Arab

I highly disagree with this so called fact because many people who were born raised and are purely American or European or even Chinese Speak Arabic but that doesn’t make them an Arab. My opinion of an Arab is someone that like i said before is from an Arabic country or your father or mother are from an Arabic country. I believe that you are from were you are from , not because you speak the language of the country but if it is in your blood and in your past. I believe that your Racial identity is not verified by the language you speak alone but by your heritage, culture and values in one personality.

Today my teacher proposed a new idea, that everyday we post what we did that day in class and other things so we said we would try it out…

1. Today in class we talked about this assignment, we talked about how many times a week we would post this and what we would put on it. We also talked about the book we are reading ”A Wrinkle In Time ”. My teacher gave us a worksheet asking us some questions about how we liked the book and what questions we would ask the characters.

2. Today in class we didnt really learn anything becasue we were doing worksheets so most of the time we were silent.

3. Today in class I day dreamed about the soccer game i was going to watch when i got home from school and could just imagine my team winning. I also daydreamed about the test i had the next day and how i was going to fail them both math and science my worst subjects.

4. Today in class I didnt want to say anything.

5. I have no other comments.

Today in language arts my teacher gave us an assignment to post some questions and answers on my blog so here they are

Personal Response What thoughts do you have about Meg’s personality as you read these chapters?

As I read this chapter Meg’s Personality unrolls through out the book and the author shows us her real personality. I think that Meg’s fathers disappearance affected her greatly and her incapabilities in education affects her because people think she is stupid and cant do anything on her own. But as I read the book i see she is an intelligent girl and is very determined to the task she was assigned.

Recall and Interpret

1. Why is Meg Murry unhappy at school?

Meg is unhappy at school because no one except her brother has faith in her and thinks shes dumb so she starts to believe them.

2. How and why does Calvin fit in with the Murry family?

Calvin fits in with the Murry family because he has special talents that he hasnt been taught how to use yet, and it just happens that Charles Wallace has the same talent.

3. Where and why do Calvin, Charles Wallace, and Meg go wiht Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs.who, and Mrs. Which ?

Calvin, Charles Wallace, and Meg go with Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs.who, and Mrs. Which to space to save the world and Mr.Murry Meg’s Dad.

Evaluate and Connect

4. In you opinion, why do the three children accept the three Mrs. W’s rather than fear them?

I think the children accept the three Mrs.W’s instead of fear them because they were the only people able to give them any information on Mr.Murry since he had left.

5. In what ways does Meg seem like any other young person? In what ways are her feelings similar to yours?

I think Meg is like any other young person because she makes foolish mistakes and like everyone else she wanted her space by going to the attack to sleep , I think her feeling are similar to mine because there are some times in the book were she feels like giving up but she doesn’t and I feel like giving up sometimes although most of the time I don’t sometimes I do.

1. What do you think about this coming unit?

I think this up coming unit is very interesting because i have never been taught Islam in this way . Actually doing the procedures of Haaj and trading and working to survive the way Muslims do to survive in a class room will be interesting.

2. What question do you have?

I have questions about what activities we will be doing in the class room ? and how this lesson will turn out?

I wrote this story about my field trip for a week with my school where we did a bunch of fun activities.

When we arrived at the camp it wasn’t what I expected it to look like I was expecting wooden cabins and a view of the beach. But that wasn’t really what it was I don’t know what the cabins were made of but they definitely weren’t wooden and the inside of the cabins looked like a jail where there was only space to sleep. Everyone’s cabins were the same and there wasn’t any homey feeling to the place I got a cold shiver ran through my body when I walked through. But I ignored it and just went on I thought it was just because I was alone without my parents in a different country for the first time, but when we went to have lunch I changed my mind a man called Mustafa came up to me and told me to run while I could but I just thought he was joking since a constant joke ran through the camp about a ghost man but still it was so believable I couldn’t help but wonder. That night I had gotten up for a drink of water when I herd the trainers saying they were going to take us out in to the middle of the desert were no one could hear us scream but Gucci and Mustafa were against this plan they said they should just wait for the next group of kids to do it. But the others objected and said there might not be another group of kids because last month an investigator came saying that a group of 50 dead bodies were found a couple miles away from here. I didn’t know what to do I didn’t know who to tell I didn’t even know what they were talking about but I knew it wasn’t good if 50 bodies were found not to far away from their camp. I had decided I would confront Gucci and Mustafa they seemed to be good people but when I did they denied the conversation ever happened and said I needed to get more sleep. But I knew what I herd and I wasn’t going to let anyone go on any hike into the desert without a teacher from school, but how could I stop this from happening I mean there wasn’t really anything I could do not alone so I went and told my cabin buddies they didn’t believe me either they said I was just paranoid. But I knew the trainers were going to take us in to the woods and let the bears eat us and there was nothing I could do to stop it. But that day when they said they were going to take us for a walk in the desert at mid night I knew what to do I wasn’t going to go on the walk instead I would call the police and let them deal with it. But when I had told the trainers I didn’t want to go Mustafa and Gucci came up to me and told me they were only going to scare us with the goat man story and when I asked them about the 50 bodies they said they had seen me leave my cabin and just wanted to scare me a little.
